April 1, 2020 - An advanced analytics service developed by Sumitomo SHI FW (SFW) is providing insights to Vantaan Energia that are helping them to cut operational costs and carbon emissions. This service was co-developed with the customer and follows a boiler modernization project at their Martinlaakso plant that enabled the use of biomass for power production.

January 13, 2020 - The use of Sumitomo SHI FW (SFW) circulating fluidised bed (CFB) combustion technology has grown from smallscale applications to large ultra-supercritical power plants in less than 20 years. The CFB is rapidly becoming the technology of choice for solid-fuel-fired power generation applications, particularly for locations with lower quality fuel. It addresses the need for sustainable use of domestic fuels in many countries, notably India.
