Sumitomo SHI FW (SFW) licensee Isgec Heavy Industries, Ltd. (Isgec) was recently awarded its first order for a Semi-Dry FGD (Circulating Fluidized Bed Scrubbers) system in India from Hindalco Industries Limited.
The project was won through a competitive bidding process for Hindalco’s 150 MW unit at Mahan Aluminium at Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, India. SFW has licensed its Semi-Dry FGD technology (Circulating Fluidized Bed Scrubbers) to Isgec and it is this advanced system that will be used for the Hindalco project as a first for the Indian market.

The scope of the project includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, civil works, construction, commissioning and performance guarantee testing for the complete Semi-Dry Flue Gas Desulphurization System Package (SDFGD).
